From bootcut to skinny

I can never ever find jeans I would be perfectly happy with. That's just the way it is. Luckily, I know what to do to change this. When it comes to jeans, I don't like bootcut at all. However, they seem to be the ones that always fit my waist the best. So what I do is, I buy the horrible, awful looking bootcuts and then transform them into skinnies! that I way I get the legs just right. My mom taught me how to do this, and it's been a wardrobe saver for years!
Here's quick before and after photos.
This is how they looked when I bought them...
And here's how they look now, straight from the oven (well, sewing machine)! I didn't make the legs too skinny this time, because I like rolling them up in the summer.

Today, after doing everything else on my to-do list, I started going through my boxes and drawers. I like keeping things. Things like business cards, postcards, pretty tags from various items I've bought.. Pretty much anything that can be reused. As I recall it, my mom used to do the same, at least when I was little. So really, I can just blame her.. Sorry äiti! (means "mom" in Finnish).
Anyway, now that I was going through all the junk I'd collected over not such a long time, I wanted to actually put them to use. I never seem to do that.
I cut out some pictures from the cards that could not be reused as cards and put them in a little container.
Then, I turned all the rest into gift tags! I made them all different sizes, some folded and some not.
For the tags I used Christmas cards, tissue boxes, an empty post card and all random pieces of card I had. After cutting all the cards, I punched holes in them. Simple as that!

Raspberry Nutella cupcakes (recipe)

I just realised I never posted these delicious cupcakes I baked in March. I was staying at friend's house and we had a few other girls over too. Here's how you can make your own cupcakes...
Cakes (makes 12)
100 g softened margarine or butter
3,5 oz caster sugar
2 eggs
3,5 oz plain flour
few drops of vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp coca powder
3 tbsp Nutella

1. Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, beat.
2. Add flour + baking powder, beat. Add Nutella and cocoa powder and mix well.
3. Bake 180C for 20 mins.
4. Let the cakes cool on the rack while you make the frosting.

Frosting
160 g softened butter
10 oz icing sugar
1-2 tbsp milk
5 large tbsp Nutella

1. Mix the butter and icing sugar well together.
2. Add Nutella and mix. If the frosting is too heavy/thick, use a few tbsp of milk..
3. Frost the already cooled cupcakes.

Decoration (OPTIONAL)
Raspberries
Dark chocolate cigarellos
Dark chocolate flakes from the cigarellos

1. Decorate each cupcake with a raspberry. Add a 1/3 of a cigarello (mine were already in pieces, being left overs from this cake) and top the whole beauty with flakes that come off your cigarellos.
Enjoy!
